Notary Public

Mr Glen Lollback has been admitted to the Supreme Court as a Notary Public and is able to provide notarial services to authenticate documents.

If you are a member of the general public or a corporate entity and require documents to be notarised by a Notary Public, then Glen is able to provide a fast and efficient service for you.

Public Notaries can witness and authenticate documentation so that they are legally valid and recognised overseas, administer oaths and statutory declarations and help confirm a person’s identity.

The role also includes:

  • Certifying copies and execution of legal and business documents
  • Witnessing affidavits, statutory declarations and other documents
  • Administering oaths

Whenever you wish to use a document overseas you will need to employ a Notary Public rather than a Justice of the Peace (JP) to witness or certify your documents.

Legal matters often require the aid of a certified professional, which is why we are pleased to offer our public notary service for your needs. A public notary is a state-appointed official with the authority to authenticate documents, administer oaths, witness, and certify the execution or signing of deeds and more. Our aim is to ensure all your important documents are handled with professionalism, precision, and legality.

We understand that transparency is crucial, especially when it comes to costs. To help you anticipate potential charges, we’ve listed a table of estimated fees for various services we provide under our Public Notary service. Keep in mind that these are merely estimates, and the final fee will be confirmed at your in-person appointment, taking into consideration the specific requirements of your documents and the intricacies involved.

If you require the services of a notary, please take note of the following recommendations:

  1. Schedule an Appointment: Notaries cannot accommodate walk-ins, so please ensure to schedule an appointment in advance.
  2. Present Valid Identification: Bring current identification documents, such as a valid passport and driver’s license, to verify your identity and confirm your current residential address.
  3. Fee Estimation: While notaries can provide a rough fee estimate, it’s often challenging to provide an accurate quote until they can review the documents and understand the complexity of the case.
  4. Document Translation: If your documents are not in English, you may need to get them translated before your appointment.
  5. Understanding Your Document: It’s crucial that you comprehend the document you’re signing. If you don’t understand the contents, consider seeking legal advice before the appointment.
  6. Provide Overseas Instructions: If you received instructions from abroad, please bring them to the appointment. This helps the notary ensure that your needs are met at the first meeting.
  7. Sending Documents in Advance: To save time and possibly reduce costs, consider sending a copy of the necessary documents to the notary prior to your appointment.
  8. Photocopying – If you require copies of documents certified, please bring copies with you to save on photocopying charges.
  9. Fee Scale: Our Full Fee Scale is listed on this site under ‘Fee Scale.’ Remember that even minor tasks may require professional time, thus influencing the total cost.

Estimating the duration of a notary appointment can be challenging until the documents are reviewed. For straightforward documentation, a typical appointment might involve 15 minutes with the notary, followed by an additional 10 minutes of document processing. Complex cases, however, will take longer.
