Are your PPSR registrations set to expire?

ATTENTION:  FARMERS AND BUSINESS OWNERS!

Are you ready for January 2019?

In January 2019, over 120,000 Personal Property Security registrations are set to expire.  Once your registration expires it can’t be extended or renewed and your ownership will no longer be legally recognised, so it’s critical that you correctly extend it beforehand to protect your interest. If you miss out and have to re-register after expiry you may lose priority to another secured party already on the register.

We wish to remind those who have existing registration on the Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR) that now is a good time to review their registrations.  For more information please see the following link  https://www.infotrack.com.au/blog/ppsr-expiry-2019/?utm_source=pardot&utm_campaign=playbook&utm_medium=email

This is also a timely reminder for those businesses who are affected by the PPSR to consider the PPSR and the consequences of not registering a Financing Statement on same.  The PPSR contains various videos and business case studies, including business in the agricultural, automotive, construction, hire & rental industry – availabe at the following link:   https://www.ppsr.gov.au/business-resources

If you have any questions or are unsure whether your business is affected by the PPSR please contact our office to discuss your business operations with one of our Solicitors.
