John Potter has been a Partner at Commins Hendriks since 1984 and is an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law and an Accredited Mediator.

Working in one of the largest law firms in country NSW has enabled John to specialise in a wide range of litigation and dispute resolution.

John has seen the practise of law in Wagga Wagga change substantially over the years. Technology, for example, makes it possible to run cases from around many parts of NSW from a country base such as Wagga Wagga.

"For me, it is the best of both worlds to be able to conduct some of the most complex litigation in the health law sector yet still be able to enjoy the benefits of living in Wagga Wagga".

John is actively involved in cases which include commercial disputes, product liability, motor vehicle insurance, and work related matters. He regularly appears at coronial inquests.

"I represent small and large clients throughout Australia. I can bring to cases the resources of a city firm but with the understanding acquired from working with country people".

Many of John's cases resolve through alternate dispute resolution methods such as mediation, which often suit the complex nature of the cases in which he is involved.

John works with a support team which includes 3 lawyers and 5 staff. This team has a long history of achieving outstanding results for the clients they represent.

John is a life long resident of Wagga Wagga and, when not working in the practice, pursues his passion for horses. He has won Australian and State championships in both dressage and eventing. His competitive nature takes him to Sydney to compete against the best in Australia on a monthly basis.

John is able to provide clients with legal advice which is relevant, effective and easily understood. John created the expression which best represents the firms culture of "Bringing Law to Life".
