Pre-nuptial Agreements

Pre-nuptial agreements (technically referred to as Binding Financial Agreements) can be entered into prior to, or during a de facto relationship or marriage.

These Agreements can provide parties with some degree of certainty regarding their assets should the relationship end. They can be particularly appropriate if the parties have had prior relationships and children from previous relationships.

There are certain legal requirements to ensure the Agreement is binding, and both parties are required to obtain independent legal advice prior to entering into an Agreement.
